The Brief

The main station building at Dartford has been demolished and re-constructed by Osborne under the NSIP programme to a new state of the art transport interchange. The new three storey station building incorporates a ticket office, retail outlets, improved passenger facilities and staff accommodation.

The Approach

K H Engineering Services Limited have worked with Osborne and undertaken initial site investigations and the removal of existing services prior to carrying out the complete Mechanical & Electrical installation works to the new station building.

The Challenges

The interface between trades to run the multitude of services required by this modern Railway Station building was significant requiring regular team meetings to ensure a successful delivery.

The Delivery

Mains Switchgear, Sub-mains Cabling and Distribution Boards, installation of containment, Lighting and Emergency Lighting Installation, Small Power Installation, Fire Alarm Including Disabled Refuge Alarm, Intruder alarm, Lightning Protection, Earthing and Bonding and Inspection, Testing & Commissioning.

The Outcome

The new station building looks really smart and modern supported the serviced installed by K H Engineering Services Limited.
