The Challenges

The works could only be undertaken outside of normal station operating times usually between 01:00 hours and 05:00 each day. The works also had to interface with the major engineering project being undertaken to create a new shopping mezzanine level within the station.

The Delivery

The existing hard wired controls have been modified and in conjunction with a new Holophane HOLOS2 control system, MDALI ballasts incorporated into Holophane Prismalume S High bay luminaires and new photocells.

The emergency luminaires incorporate an additional Auxiliary 150W Tungsten Halogen Lamp which is fed via the Uninterupted Power Supply unit providing emergency lighting in the event of a mains power failure.

The Outcome

The new system worked well with the photocells adjusting lighting levels from the new fittings as the external light values changed.
